First Requiem Mass Celebrated

Our UVW monthly Requiem Mass for the Holy Souls was celebrated on January 24 by the priest chaplain of a traditional Benedictine convent. 31 contemplative nuns joined their prayers with the priest’s as he offered up the Holy Sacrifice. What tremendous grace of consolation must have flowed from the altar to the circles of Purgatory! May the Holy Souls continue to intercede for UVW’s special intentions.

Monthly Requiem Masses for the Holy Souls

One of the things UVW pledges to do is to see to it that, for as long as we exist, at least one traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be offered each month for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. We entrust to the Holy Souls special and specific intentions for our work. As time goes on and prayers are answered through their powerful intercession, we will add more Requiem Masses.

I am therefore pleased to announce that we have made an agreement with a wonderful and holy Catholic priest to celebrate these monthly Requiem Masses, which will take place in 2017 on:

January 24
February 21
March 28
April 18
May 23
June 20
July 25
August 22
September 26
October 24
November 21
December 19

On these days, as long as my reminder system works, I will send you a brief note, asking you to take a moment to join your prayers to the awesome Sacrifice of the Mass for the refreshment and release of holy souls.

May God bless you, and may the souls of all the faithful departed, including those of our relatives, friends, and benefactors, rest in peace.
